״Lichens״ is a photographic series exploring the vivid colors and natural typography found in lichen formations.
Beyond their organic beauty, these surfaces evoke deeper reflections on themes of territory, survival, and conflict — subjects that are profoundly personal to me, given my connections to Israel and Ukraine (my family immigrated from Ukraine). Through the silent yet striking
presence of lichen, I reflect on the painful histories and ongoing struggles over land, identity, and belonging.
Most of the photographs were taken in the central forests of Israel, capturing the quiet resilience of nature in landscapes marked by history and memory.
With great hope, future chapters of this series will be created on the soil of Ukraine.
