Rat Collection draws inspiration from Victorian-era English comic art and caricatures, which often used satire to critique society and its values. In this series, I rework and reinterpret that historical tradition by portraying animals — particularly rats — that still exist in our modern world. Through these figures, I offer a parallel commentary on the flaws of the old world, humanity, and contemporary modernity, bridging past and present with a sharp yet empathetic lens.
